If I were Horace, this would be my ars poetica, a game I always dreamed of making but I never felt ready. But today, almost 6 years after NSKN Games was born, I feel ready…
We are within the last 48 hours of the Shadowscape Kickstarter, and – as you might expect – things are moving fast. At nearly 1000% funded (yes, that is thousand, and not a typo), we decided to answer some questions live yesterday night. I know that not everyone was able to join, and since only… Read More Shadowscape: A Time for Answers
Almost two weeks ago I invited you to find an awesome name for the Mistfall, Heart of the Mists, and Shadowscape universe. The backers of the Shadowscape Kickstarter compaign have provided many excellent ideas. Finally the time has come to reveal the name we’ve chosen – and give out a few copies of Heart of the Mists.
Although Shadowscape’s Kickstarter campaign is not over yet, some of the backers of our previous Kickstarter have already received early copies of the game. This resulted in a very lucky occurence: we can show you a set of photos of actual Shadowscape, all by the amazingly talented Doctor Meeple.

The Kickstarter campaign for Shadowscape is in full swing, and it’s doing really well. The game was over 200% funded in under 24 hours from its launch, and we are reaching new Stretch Goals even as I write these words.
Shadowscape is coming to Kickstarter on November 14th, and today’s post is here mainly to give you a heads up, as I have already written about the game, its conception, story and design goals in a two-parter, which you can find here (Part 1), and here (Part 2). If you want to quickly get to… Read More Kickstarting Shadowscape
Last week I wrote about one single experience from Essen, providing a few visual titbits of what the more general feel of Spiel 2016 was for us. Today, I want to tell you about a new challenge we decided to rise up to this year: running two separate booths.
We have returned from Essen, and as always, we are tired but happy. The scale and sheer energy of Spiel is something that can surprise even someone who has been an attendee for the last five consecutive years. However, this post is not about the fair in general, but more of a single interesting experience.
